Stars, Stripes, and Stranded in the Outback: An Independence Day Tale
Hi Patrick
Our colleague is a typical ‘loud and proud’ Yank. Please can you produce a drawing of him. We would prefer a full cartoon version with something showing a reference to Independence Day.
Thank you
Meet Chuck, proud patriot, camera enthusiast, and walking embodiment of “Y’ALL GOT WIFI HERE?” energy. To celebrate Independence Day, Chuck boldly declared, “I’m taking America abroad this year.” So naturally, he flew 9,000 miles and found himself deep in the Australian outback — surrounded by kangaroos, gum trees, and exactly zero cell towers.

Clad in his finest fireworks-themed shirt and star-spangled sneakers, Chuck came prepared for everything… except the fact that Uluru doesn’t come with a Starbucks and free hotspot. Armed with his trusty camera and a pocket-sized U.S. flag (you never know when a bald eagle might photobomb), he’s been snapping pics of every termite mound and mistaking wombats for “weird koalas.”
Locals haven’t decided whether he’s a lost tourist or the new mascot for a Fourth of July parade. Either way, he’s determined to spread freedom, fireworks, and flaky WiFi access one Aussie selfie at a time.
